On this day, a very beautiful girl was born.  What a bundle of joy she was to everyone.  This was the day Kayla would start her life on Earth.

Born on March 4, 1992.

On this day, Kayla turned 1 year old.  Oh what fun we had in the first year she was on this Earth.  She learned alot in a year.  Her first word was "Ball", she learned to roll over for the first time, she learned how to walk and talk somewhat.  Her little brain was developing so much in the first year.

1994 - 1995:  Kayla was such a joy as a child.  She loved to go crafting with her grandmother to her great grandmother's house.  Kayla was the light of all the ladies eyes on Thursdays there.  She looked forward to craft day.  They would get together some days and go to lunch and as you can guess Kayla was the only little child there, so she became the apple of everyone's eyes.  She was her own little person then.

In 1996, Kayla went to Pre-K.  Her first day at school.  She looked forward to it.  Her Pre-K teacher Ms. Schofield was her favorite teacher.  She developed into a fine little girl while going to school.  She met lots of new friends there too.  Kayla would make things for different Holidays there and bring them home and hide them until it was time to give them to me and her daddy. 

June 1997 - 2002:  Kayla now went through elementary school during this time.  During this time Kayla learned lots of things that I didn't know such a little person could learn so much.  She also made another new set of friends.  She met lots of other children in the neighborhood and became great friends with all of them.  She called them her brothers and sisters, they were so close.  I remember one day she came home and told me she had a boyfriend.  I laughed and told her she was too young to have a boy friend and she didn't know what that word meant anyways and she stood there and said he's my friend and he's a boy so that makes him my boyfriend.  I could not help but laugh.  She was growing up too fast.

2003-2007:  This was the time frame Kayla went to Middle school.  She thought she was a big shot because she was moving up in the world.  Kayla excelled so much.  She was a smart girl but she just didn't apply herself.  She went to 3 different middle schools.  She went to Brown Barge, Brownsville and Bellview.  She played too much at Brown Barge.  At Brownsville, she was getting messed with, so then she went to Bellview Middle.  She had some wonderful teachers there.  She talked about a lot of them every day and even when she left she wanted to go back to visit them.  Kayla was such a joy to her teachers at Bellview.  Kayla touched everyone in her own little special way.

Aug 2007 - Aug 2009:  Kayla started High School in the summer of 2007.  She had most of her friends that she grew up with go to the same school.  She also met new ones and became close friends with them.  She had many girls and guys at my house each and every day.  There was a point where I had several girls stay the entire summer at our house.  I won't list names, you know who you are.  Kayla had excelled so much during her childhood and teenage years. It was hard to picture her turning into a bright young woman.  I wanted her to stay that little girl forever.  Kayla learned to drive during this time and then she kept the roads hot.  She found her first true love, Matthew in the summer of 2007 and dated him for 2years.  During this time frame Kayla experienced a lot of different life lessons.  She got to experience was a heartache felt like.  Kayla touched many of the people in high school too.  I never knew she knew so many people and so many people knew her.  Kayla was loved by many.  She will remain a part of us forever.

Kayla was excited about having her senior portraits made for high school. 

On this summer day, the Friday before her Senior year in High School, Kayla and her friends, "Lil Amanda" and Kevin were heading to get Kevin's truck.  They were all talking about going "mud riding".  Kayla loved her some big trucks.  Although she was not used to driving them.  Kayla wanted to drive the truck.  The three of them set out to go back to Kevin's job place.  This was the last time Kayla would have placed her feet on the grounds of this place we call "Earth".  Kayla was called Home by Our Father in Heaven.  This is the last picture of Kayla before she died.

Passed away on August 21, 2009.
